Reviews for My Sister Speaks For Me:

I am interested in anything about the true Americans, the American Indians. This book was great as it actually happened to this family, not that many years ago! I am anxiously awaiting the next book, of this series so I can continue on with the problems they have over the years, a long time ago, but still not that long the way time flies by. I hated to put the book down once I got started, but I had to let my wife read and finish it first and I picked it up when she put it down.

I read all the time, this was recommended to me by a friend. It was just awesome, one of the best I have read in a long time. I was a little surprised with the way she ended it but when I realized it was a sage then wow, what a way to move on to the second book.

My I cannot think really what to say, this was amasing, I got a little too caught up in the story but couldn't put it down, my husband who is not a reader had me reading him as I got so involved. I am so glad I got this book from her at a booksigning, I just happen to be shopping and went to see what the people were listening to. I liked her right away, she was funny and serious all in the same breath. She presented herself very well and made me want to read the book, I am glad that I stopped and saw her as well as got her book from her, she signed it for me and I think I will remember her,. I do look forward to her next book and probably will keep up with her.

I would like to give my book review for My Sister Speaks for Me written by d.L.Brooks Aguilar. This book is the first book in a long time that has delivered such raw emotion. I literally had to step away from the book because I was so very over come with emotion. I found myself angry and upset right along with the characters. I am eagerly awaiting book two.

Engrossing! Grabbed me and took me back to my home town and the racial injustices of my high school years. A must read. Waiting impatiently for part 2.

I take pleasure in reading and writing a review for this book. Thank you and the author for sending it to me. I found this story to be quite different than most of the Native American stories we are used to reading. I did indeed hold my interest and I was intrigued to the end. The surprising ending made the novel very powerful. I will have to say with all honesty this is the first short story I have read in a long time that was worth my time from start to finish. I am onlu in hopes that this novel will get the proper marketing and advertisement that it deserves to be read, it truly would be a shame if this book just set without being known.
